How to hide any file in android without using any application

Hello guys, in todays world our smart phones are everything for us.
We store each and everything in phones including our private contents.
Sometimes it is necessary to hide our private data from people.
Many android users uses applications for hiding their data but actually there is no need of that.

Lets see how to hide your private data..

Step 1 : collect all the data in one folder which you want to hide.

Step 2 : now you have to create .nomedia file. Create that file as shown in image do not write anything in file. If you cannot create you can also copy paste that file which is available in android/data folder.

Step 3 : Now your data is hidden from unwanted users. As shown in image there is no file present in mc player ... that means your videos are hidden now ..

Note :-

.nomedia file tells gallary/app that there is no media present in thia folder and it skips that folder content.
That means whatever you keep in this folder will not appear in gallery or in any application such as media player, video player but it is  accessible from file manager so keep your folder in secret place. ;-)
